What is life without friends? Is it meaningless? My past self would've said no. But my past is gone. And so are the views I held. You swept them away. Like leaves in the autumn wind. So I ask myself the same question. Over and over, without respite. Until my thoughts surface through the haze. And memories remain but distant dreams. Moving slowly with the ethereal tide. Life without friends is life without meaning. It would be without the joy of company. And the spark of laughter would not be known. Without friends, this world would be gray. So I thank those who stand beside me now. Those who have always done so. And those new to that place. Y
